Brunetti Café Melbourne

Hellooooooooooo Melbourne!! Excited to be back after 2 years. It's been a while. Objective of this trip? Food and friends. I miss the food and I miss my dear darlings! Weather was surprisingly nice for us. Looks like we brought the sun from Gold Coast to Melbourne. All three days were sunny and about 17 degrees. Didn't need my coat after all.

Collins Street
So, we headed to Brunetti Café because I had a fantastic experience at their Carlton café the last time I really wanted Carl to try some. We stopped by the CBD café on Flinders Lane. As usual it was extremely busy with a line up for ordering and a line up to pick up coffees but the staff were very friendly and efficient in getting orders through. We managed to find a seat on the side and sat down to enjoy our afternoon tea.

Variety doesn't seem to be as big here compared to Carlton but I must say, the Carlton one is at least 3 times bigger. Nevertheless there was still a nice selection of cakes and I certainly wanted to try all of them! We ended up getting a Flourless Chocolate Soufflé and Lemon Custard Tart

The Lemon Custard Tart had a delicious filling and nice pastry but I found the pastry a bit too thick so there wasn't enough filling. The Flourless Chocolate Soufflé was amazing. Very beautiful to eat and a brilliant balance between the sweetness and bitterness from dark chocolate.

While I'm on my macaroon craze, I ordered a Mango Macaroon to go with my Cappucino. It was de-lish!

Where's my chocolate powder?
Brunetti, once again, you have made me happy!
