Challenge Accepted: 100 Happy Days

This morning I'm going to post something out of the ordinary, non food related....well maybe a bit. A couple of days ago I came across someone doing a 100 Happy Days challenge and checked it out. The idea is to be happy for 100 days in a row. Take a picture of something that made you happy that day for 100 days and post it to social media or if you want it absolutely private you can email the pictures. I decided to take on that challenge and will be posting things onto my Instagram account @foodieling

Why do this? To try and find positivity and goodness in every situation every day. No matter how bad your day was, it forces you to think of something that made you happy today. Could literally be your cup of coffee in the morning. There's always something. People who have completed the challenge have reported feeling more optimistic and grateful for what they have which puts them in a better mood everyday.

I've had some issues that have resulted in me not being able to do a lot of things I like or used to do. What was temporary doesn't feel so temporary anymore and yet it may still be "temporary" relative to a lifetime. Suddenly it seemed like so much changed and even more unexpected challenges are ahead. When I came across this I thought I must give it a go, a bit of positivity and happiness can't hurt right? ;-)

They say so far 71% of people who sign up have failed to complete the 100 days. I'm determined to make it to the end and beyond. Could you take on the 100 Happy Days Challenge? You can sign up on their website and pick your choice of posting method. Don't forget to tag -  #100happydays

Join me and let's do this together!

    1. Hi Ailyn! Of course it counts. It's just teaching us to take the time out and appreciate something everyday that make us smile.
